About broadband price rises

Broadband providers often raise prices mid-contract — sometimes once a year, sometimes by a fixed pounds-and-pence amount set out in your contract. This shows what a rise actually costs you across the rest of your term.

What numbers you need first
  • Your current monthly broadband price
  • The monthly increase stated in the provider's notice (in pounds, not a percentage)
  • How many months are left on your contract
  • Any one-off fee mentioned (often £0)

The same tested calculator, with the figures you have to hand.

This calculator runs locally in your browser. UKFC does not collect or store these numbers. Nothing is sent over the network.

What this works out to

New monthly price£0.00
Extra per month£0.00
Extra over remaining contract£0.00
Estimated total remaining cost£0.00

What the calculator means here. The figures show the arithmetic of the rise you enter — your new monthly price and the extra cost to the end of your current term.
What it does not mean. They are not a quote, not advice, and not a prediction of future prices. They do not tell you to switch or stay.
What to verify with your provider
  • The exact pounds-and-pence rise and the date it applies from
  • Whether the rise applies to the whole package or only the broadband line
  • Your minimum-term end date and your notice period
  • Whether any introductory discount is ending separately from the rise

What UKFC cannot tell you: UKFC does not hold your account and cannot see your actual contract, your real price, or whether you are in or out of contract. Only your provider can confirm those.

Safe next steps
  • Read the provider's price-rise notice and note the exact amount and date
  • Check your minimum-term end date and notice period
  • Decide before any introductory discount ends
  • Keep your own copy of the notice (screenshot or download your own bill)
